Happy Friday everyone! I’m AJ Rempel, highlighting Miles Morales, a comic book superhero.

Miles Morales is a teenage superhero and one of the many variants of Spiderman. Miles is Puerto Rican and Black, he was the first Black Spiderman and first biracial Spiderman being introduced in a comic in August 2011.

After this Miles made a couple more appearances in tv shows like Ultimate Spider-Man where he would make a cameo in season 3 and season 4, he would also be the main character in Sony’s video game Spider-Man Miles Morales. These were successful projects, but everyone knew about Miles Morales after Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse.

2018’s Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse was an animated movie about miles morales saving the multiverse. They also have just made a new movie called Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse which is being pushed for best pictures at the 2024 Academy Awards. Many people were happy because they were finally getting Latino and Afro representation. I know it was very cool to see things that I relate to. For example in the newest movie, Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse Miles says “Bendicion mami” asking for his mom’s blessing. It was very cool seeing this in the movie because it was something that I have been doing since I was little.

I hope you guys learned something about Miles Morales, and I highly recommend the newest movie Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse, it was a very good Movie!
