This week’s Famous Friday is about Francisco or Frankie Muniz. On December 5, 1985, Frankie was born in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey to Denise and Francisco Muniz III. Denise is half Irish and half Italian and Francisco III is Puerto Rican. Frankie also has an older sister. At four years old, Frankie and his family moved to Knightdale, North Carolina. At years old, his parents divorced shortly after playing Tiny Tim at a local production of The Christmas Carol. To start off his acting career, Frankie appeared in advertisements and then moved on to movies like My Dog Skip and Agent Cody Banks. He then made guest appearances on TV shows like Lizzie McGuire and MADtv. He also did voice-overs for movies and video games. As time passed, Frankie also developed an interest in racing. In 2006, he announced that he would be taking a break from acting so that he could pursue a career in racing with Jensen Motorsport in the Formula BMW competition. As his interest in racing developed, on February 18, 2001, he drove the pace car for the Daytona 500. Just before the race started, he was able to meet Dale Earnhardt which would sadly be the first and last time he would be able to talk to him. In 2004, Frankie took to the tracks at the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race in Long Beach. He finished 7th but a year later he would participate again and finish 3rd and was the best-finishing celebrity. Frankie would continue to drive in many more races and become more and more fond of the sport. On January 11, 2023, it was announced that Frankie would be driving full-time for Rette Jones Racing in the ARCA Menards Series. Frankie will be driving the Number 30 Ford Mustang.
