Shay Mitchell
It is Friday once again, and today we will be highlighting Shay Mitchell, a Canadian actress, entrepreneur, author, and model! She was born April 10, 1987, and is of Scottish, Irish, and Filipina descent.
She began acting in 2009 in the Canadian teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation, but is known for her role as Emily Fields in the series Pretty Little Liars. She earned several nominations from the Teen Choice Awards for her performance.
In October of 2018, Mitchell created her own brand, Béis. It is a luggage and travel line, as Shay wanted luggage that could be fashionable and keep her organized, so she made her own!
Mitchell has also supported non-profit organizations and charities such as WE Charity which helps communities develop educational resources.
Along with all this, she also became a mom in October of 2019, when she and her partner, Matte Babel, welcomed their daughter Atlas Noa Babel into the world! Through her experiences, Shay has revealed the ups and downs of motherhood, including suffering a miscarriage before, but is grateful to be a mother and relishes her role as one!
