Classification Rights for Multiracial Individuals

I have the right to:
■ Choose to be classified as I want, not as someone else’s definition of me.
■ Specify that I am either one race alone or in two or more combinations.
■ File complaints where I see outdated forms being used.
■ Utilize Project RACE for help in seeing that Multiracial individuals may
self-identify.
■ Educate people about these classification rights.
■ Check a stand-alone Multiracial box.
■ Define Multiracial as individuals that identify as two or more races.
■ Join the movement at the state or national level to mandate a Multiracial
classification on all forms that require racial identity.
