Today is global Giving Tuesday, a day set aside to donate to your favorite charity, but we are not asking for money this year. We ask instead that you save a life. Project RACE is asking that you become a bone marrow donor or remind people who qualify to do the same.

Children with blood diseases like leukemia are in desperate need of bone marrow donors. With your help, we can come together and give where it is needed most. In these troubled times, what could be a better way to give than to save the life of a child?

Project RACE is proud to be a partner with Be the Match in trying to save lives. Donors are especially difficult to find for biracial and multiracial people. More than 9,700 people are currently without a match.

The easiest way to REGISTER is to go to join.bethematch.org and take 10 minutes to answer questions about your medical history.

SWAB YOUR CHEEK. Be the Match mails you a cheek swab kit to get a sample of your DNA.

BE PREPARED. One in 40 members is called for additional testing, and one in 300 is selected as the best possible donor for a person who needs a transplant.

BE REIMBURSED. Be the Match reimburses almost all costs, including travel.

Of course, Project RACE will still take other donations.
