Troian Bellisario was born on October 28th, 1985, to her Italian father Donald P. Bellisario, and African American mother Debroah Pratt. Both are producers in Hollywood. She is best known for her major role as Spencer Hastings on the American teen mystery and thriller drama Pretty Little Liars. She also appeared in numerous television shows such as Quantum Leap, NCIS, First Monday, and JAG.
Growing up with parents who are influential producers, Troian was always surrounded by the film industry. Her acting career started when she made her first debut at three years old in the movie Last Rites. Through her adolescent years she made several movies and television appearances in film projects her dad was producing until heading off to college. Troian attended the University of Southern California where she majored and graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts. After graduating in 2009, she made her worldwide debut as Spencer Hastings in Pretty Little Liars.
Her acting in the show awarded her two Teen Choice Awards and a Young Hollywood Award. During her work in Pretty Little Liars she met her co-star who is now her husband Patrick J. Adams. The two tied the knot after seven years of dating on December 10, 2016. In 2018, the two welcomed their baby girl Aurora Adams into the world. Along with spending time with her family, Troian enjoys writing television films and developing projects with her husband.
