She was born January 31, 1921, and passed January 15, 2019. She was born in Seattle, Washington to a mother of German and Jewish ancestry and a father of African and German ancestry. A growing number of people who identify as Latino or Hispanic identify as multiracial. That’s according to 2020 Census data. Any of you who have not written to the OMB with comments on a Multiracial category are guilty of not caring about the Multiracial Movement. The OMB just concluded their town hall meetings, and we had a very poor showing. Yes, they only gave each person two minutes to speak, but were overwhelmed with people who want to change or keep the Black category and want other populations on the census and other forms.
