The United States Census Bureau put out a 165-page report today called “2020 Census Barriers, Attitudes, and Motivators Study (CBAMS) Focus Group Final Report.” Basically, it’s about people who don’t want to fill out their census forms. The main reasons found were privacy concerns, apathy, fear of repercussions, and lack of time. The report is full of the focus groups they studied, including African American, Native American, Hispanic, Chinese, middle-eastern, rural, and on and on.
